SUDDENLY

Suddenly, you´ve found yourself so old,
lying, untidy, on your bed,
deprived of the friendly, comrade voice.
And on the mirror, the bitter truth itself.

From the ancient joy and its reflect,
the vague, mourning remembrance:
just an upholstery image remains
from your childhood and your hopscotch.

It is, perhaps, that in the playful process
along which life arrives to its break,
when the final blow disappears,

an ash goblet from such old fire,
becomes whisper, and vanishes,
like a prayer in an atrium of silence.
